Reduced Mobility Rights Fundraiser 2023

Since its inception, Reduced Mobility Rights has established itself as the definitive platform for advocating and championing greater accessibility in air travel, consistently reminding the aviation industry of what is achievable to make air travel more accessible for those with reduced mobility. Over the years, it has grown from strength-to-strength and has become an essential tool to ensure that everyone can enjoy the same level of convenience and comfort while travelling.

For example, our recently published article on which airlines have made the location of accessible toilets available on their seatmaps came as a surprise to the airline industry. Even some of the more well-known and established brands had overlooked the importance of providing this essential information to their customers who may require it due to certain disabilities or special needs.

After its release, at least four airlines acted on the initiative and upgraded their seat maps to highlight the exact location of accessible toilets, making it easier for people with disabilities to identify where they can access one. This proactive step helps in ensuring that all passengers have an equal level of comfort while flying and is a major step forward in achieving universal accessibility.
